Today I started what is called, "The Master Cleanse," otherwise known as the "Lemonade Diet." It's pretty much where I will drink only water and this concoction of pure, fresh lemon juice, pure maple syrup, water, and cayenne pepper for at least two weeks.
I can't eat or drink anything else. It will cleanse my body of all toxins and the crap that crappy food has built up inside of me.
This cleanse has been proven to cure the earliest signs of diseases and other health ailments, including acne, skin blemishes, allergies, and cravings.
As I have been chronically sick for the last year or so, my mom suggested I try this cleanse. I plan (and hope) to last at least the recommended two weeks, and I plan (and hope) to update this blog every night to keep you updated on how it's progressing.
Today was difficult. I discovered just how addicted to eating I really am. It was almost painful not to dig out my favorite cereals and snack throughout the day.
At first, I was starving, and food seemed the most heavenly thing on earth. But I resisted the urge to gorge, and instead sipped my lemonade. Eventually, the hunger subsided, though I did feel lightheaded, as if my blood sugar was lowering. I think I started to shake slightly, but with more intake of my lemonade, that subsided, also.
I can't quite say that I'm hungry right now; mostly, I'm just craving food.
My mom made me a water bottle full of lemonade to take to work, though it was difficult to drink because the cayenne content was too high. Right now I'm sipping a new cup, with less cayenne and more maple syrup, and really it's not too bad. Strange tasting lemonade, to say the least.

No One Else Will Do [song]
*Verse 1*
I'll admit,
His eyes kept me captivated.
To be honest,
The thought of him made me smile.
It's true,
I thought he was perfect.
But, darling, I learned the hard way
That he's not you.
*Verse 2*
I regret
Believing that his lies were true.
It's a shame
How I gave him everything.
Unfortunately, for a moment,
I let him steal my heart away
From you.
*Chorus*
I'm here, dreaming of the day we'll meet;
You're there, ready to sweep me off my feet.
Waiting patiently,
because we know we're meant to be.
For me, no one else will do
But the one who will love me forever:
You.
Some say
That fairy tales are fiction.
They claim
True love is a writer's fantastic view.
But I'm too hopelessly hopeful
To stop believing
In you.
*Chorus*
I'm here, dreaming of the day we'll meet;
You're there, ready to sweep me off my feet.
Waiting patiently,
because we know we're meant to be.
For me, no one else will do
But the one who will love me forever:
You.
*Bridge*
Perhaps a dozen frogs
Will break my heart
And my world will crumble
And I'll shatter apart.
I may just lose it all,
Fall with each swift hit,
But when I find you, love,
It will all be worth it.
*Chorus*
I'm here, dreaming of the day we'll meet;
You're there, ready to sweep me off my feet.
Waiting patiently,
because we know we're meant to be.
For me, no one else will do
But the one who will love me forever:
You.
*Closing*
I'm doing my best to become the girl
Of whom you dream;
Please don't give up
On me.
I hope you know I love you
With all my heart,
Whoever,
Wherever
You are.

LDS Film Festival '10/Utah
Around the end of January, my family went on a vacation to Utah for the LDS Film Festival in Orem, UT. I got to see my brothers, sister, sister-in-law, nephew, niece, uncle, and many of my wonderful friends! Also, I met Janice Kapp Perry, composer of several LDS church songs. While staying with my best friend, KK, we made music video pictures, also. =D

Valentine's Ball
On February 12, my stake had a "Valentine's Ball," which happened to be my sisters' Molly and Allison's very first dance, as they are now 14. I can't believe they're so old! They claimed to enjoy themselves very much--I do recall they danced almost every slow song. (Uh, oh, Dad!) My friend Will's band, Fire Eagle Lazer Danger (look 'em up on Facebook!), played. It was an awesome night.

Poetry Reading
I haven't posted anything for a while, so I'm a little behind, so I'll update you all now. A while ago, I submitted my poem to the 2009 Half Price Books High School Poetry Contest, and won first place for my poem, "I AM BUTTERFLY." On January 30, I, along with the 2nd and 3rd place winners, was invited to read my poem at the Half Price Books store in front of a live audience. The crowd wasn't particularly large, but it was still exciting. The other winning poems were very good.

Promotional Photo
Hello, everyone! I'll give you a quick rundown as to the background of this post. I wrote this novel, "The Magic in the Music," in 2007, but never did anything with it. A few months ago, I pulled it off the shelf and did a serious revision of it. I personally think it's a fantastic novel and can't wait to expose it to the world.

"Tomorrow" Poem
I wrote this during Sacrament Meeting. It's a poem about hope.
"Tomorrow"
Yesterday,
I touched a rose
Blooming in the sun.
Yesterday,
I felt the sun,
Shining in the sky.
Yesterday,
I saw the sky
Clear as water's spring.
Yesterday,
It was spring
A happy, bright new world.
Yesterday,
I held the world
And you inside my arms.
Now today,
Winter's come
Mother nature's bitter shun.
Today,
The sky was overcast
The emptiness inside me vast.
Today,
I lost a loved one
Just like the golden sun.
Today,
You took the chance
And left without a backward glance.
Today,
I am all alone
With a broken heart you once called home.
But tonight,
As I watched you go,
I realized that, for me, there's still hope.
That tomorrow,
When spring reappears,
I will touch a rose
Blooming in the sun...
